Da bi ušel grozljivi usodi, mladega židovskega dečka starši pošljejo na vas.
Tako se začne njegova pustolovščina. V vreči za krompir ga pretihotapijo iz
okupiranega mesta. K sebi ga vzame kmet, ki ga predstavlja kot svojega nečaka.
Dečka uči vaški duhovnik. Kljub krutosti apokaliptičnega sveta, v katerem
