VSEBINA:
Moški, ki živi zunaj družbe, nazaduje na raven jamskega človeka.
Strašljiva zgodba se odvija v odmaknjenem mestecu ob vznožju Apalačev
v državi Tennessee v 60. letih prejšnjega stoletja. Lester Ballard je
nasilen moški brez stalnega bivališča in imetja, ki ga pripovedovalec
označi za "božjega otroka, kakršni smo menda vsi". Ballardovo življenje
zaznamuje vztrajen poskus, da bi živel daleč od ljudi in zunaj družbenega
